Palm candlestick ca. 1800
Candlestick with chain and clamps. Silver. F. Roca, Barcelona, first half of the nineteenth century. Presents contrast marks and burilada. Silver candlestick in its color with openwork bowl and raised on two small legs (inside there is a piece to hold the candle, shaped like a vase), and flat handle (curved towards the end, area where the third leg is), decorated with two bands of pearls on the sides (motif that also appears on the edge of the bowl) and whose final part is a chain that ends in tweezers (which are placed in a piece soldered to the bottom of the handle). The piece has two deburilada marks and others of contrast under the bowl. Piece made in Barcelona by F. Roca, silversmith active in Barcelona in the second half of the 18th century and early 19th century.
