The Persistence of Memory, 1931. Lithogtraph 255/300, 29 x 20.8 inch. The famous piece by Dali, represented his theory of softness and hardness. The artist was incorporating an image of a Camembert (a softcheese) melting in the sun. The melting time pieces may have also represented the passage of time.
